Welcome! Nerdy dudes.
|
Welcome to GNFNET. GNFNET is a miniportal for personal use. It is THE starting page for GNF.
It is always under construction and most links are broken by default. Entries and articles
are only of use to GNF and the people in the GNFNETwork. In rare occasions the info might be
usefull to other people. Most of the stuff here most people do not care about. Most topics
concern some day-to-day usefull stuff, 8-bit retro gaming, old skool dev tactics, long lost and
forgotten documents, or nerdy have-been gadgets. Some articles may even be in Dutch!

MSX - MSX-1 - MSX-2 - MSX-2+ - Turbo-R
|
My first computer was a Philips VG8020 MSX-1.
I now own about four VG8020 MSX-1's,
a Philips NMS 8235, three Philps NMS 8255, a Seikosha SP2000 Epson compatible dotmatrix printer,
a Sunrise GFX9000 graphics cartridge, a Sunrise OPL4 Moonsound sound cartridge, an FMPak, a Philips
Music Module, a Gouda SCSI interface with external Iomega ZIP drive and 0.5GB HD. And, though not
currently installed, most of it still works. Check out the GFX9000 section
because there's a new online developers manual in the works.

Some usefull info about the Nokia 7110 and 3410. Don't bother with the WAP-enabledness.
Ever thought about building WAP-games for GSM (especially for the Nokia 7110 and 3410)? Forget it!
WAP over GSM sucks bigtime and so do these devices! Maybe the Nokia N-Gage will jumpstart Mobile gaming.
It would be a first since Motorola (A009) and Sony-Ericsson (T300/Mophun) both failed to fullfill the promise
of the ultimate mobile gaming experience.
